Special Products and Services:
What is “special products”? Pretty much anything strange, weird, oddly-shaped, heavy, awkward or requiring specialized knowledge to safely move and transport. Some items that fall into this category are PIANOS (even though lots of companies and people CLAIM to know how to move these, do they really? Or do they just throw lots of unskilled manpower with inadequate training and equipment at it?), most EXERCISE EQUIPMENT (and even DTL will 3rd-party/subcontact assembly/disassembly of most “systems”), PHOTOCOPIERS (if they are leased, does your lease company ALLOW others to even move them?), HOT TUBS (assuming they have been serviced for moving), MEDICAL EQUIPMENT, STORE FIXTURES (not always special products per se, but site access and conditions sometimes dictate special handling), and more.
What happens if you have something that will not fit up a staircase or through a door (or otherwise violate a law of physics)? Some options are to HOIST the item to the proper level, or even CRANE it in. Of course, you cannot have just ANYONE do this, you need someone who can do a site-assessment to see if it is even possible, and to handle the preparation and scheduling to make it so.
